Match Report: Saturday 4 October Away V Hooe Rovers.

Both teams went into the game looking for their first win of the season and both left with honors even in a wind and rain swept 4-4 draw. Horrabridge started the game the liveliest with 2 goals in the first 10 minutes to Josh Broughton. Horrabridge almost went 3 up but for a fine save from the Hooe Keeper. The goal keeper's heroics seemed to spur on the home side as they pulled a goal back in the first half sending their side in with a 1 goal deficit at half time.

In the second half, Horrabridge had to play into the wind which had risen to the extent where a punt up field from Hooe flew towards the goal and the bounce caught the goalkeeper off his line to level things. Horrabridge again took the lead with a goal from Josh Bainbridge before 2 goals from Hooe changed things around. An injury to the Horrabridge keeper meant changing the team formation and putting Chris Argles into goal as replacement. Horrabridge survived a couple of forays into their area before some neat work in midfield took them to the Hooe byline and a whipped cross was inches away from being turned into the net. Finally the pressure paid off when a foul about 30 yard out gave Horrabridge a free kick. Kyran Davies floated a wonderful ball in but Hooe managed to clear the ball for a corner. The corner was then whipped in by Kyran's left foot finding the head of Josh Bainbridge who completed a brace on his debut. 1 minute later the final whistle was blown with both teams satisfied with the draw in difficult conditions.
